Living green walls where light and water access allow.
Read more →Why moss
A preserved moss wall is real moss, stabilised so that it keeps its colour and texture without ever needing to grow again. That single property removes almost every reason green walls fail indoors.
No soil. No drip lines, no tank, no drainage channel. No grow lights for a dark lobby. No gardener on a monthly round. It is installed as panels on your wall and then it simply stays as it was on day one.
Choosing between the two
Both look green. They solve quite different problems.
Design options
We work with flat moss, bun moss and reindeer moss in several preserved tones, which lets a wall read as a landscape, a wave pattern, a colour-blocked graphic or a clean monotone field. Company logos and wordmarks can be cut into the surface or built up in contrasting moss.
Panels are made to measure, so the wall arrives as a finished composition rather than a grid of squares you can see the joints in.
Questions
Real moss, preserved. It is harvested and then stabilised so the cells hold their colour and softness indefinitely. It is not plastic, and it does not look like plastic.
No. Watering a preserved moss wall will damage it. It draws what little it needs from ambient humidity, which is also why it has a buffering effect on the room.
Many years indoors when kept out of direct sunlight and away from constant dry airflow. Direct sun will fade it and a vent blowing onto it will dry it out, so placement matters at the design stage.
Yes, and it is one of the most common requests. Send the logo as a vector file and we will work out whether it reads better cut in, raised in contrasting moss, or mounted over the moss field.
Generally yes, but we check. Constantly very dry air can make moss brittle over time, so we avoid placing panels directly in the path of a supply vent.
