Vertical Moss Gardens
The zero-irrigation alternative for interiors.
Read more →The idea
Floor space in any city-centre office is expensive and already spoken for. Wall space is not. A living green wall turns a blank vertical surface into the feature everyone photographs on their first visit — without giving up a single desk.
We handle the whole chain: structure and waterproofing, the growing system, automated drip irrigation with a drainage return, the planting plan, and the maintenance schedule that keeps it dense after year one.
What goes into one
The part you see is the planting. The part that decides whether it survives is everything behind it.
A ventilated backing that isolates the wet system from your wall. Skip it and you get seepage within a year.
Automated drip lines on a timer with a collection channel at the base, recycled where a tank and pump make sense.
Species chosen by the light each band of the wall actually receives, and a pattern drawn for full growth, not day one.
Trimming, feeding, nozzle checks and gap replanting. A wall left alone goes patchy fast, and patchy is worse than bare.
Budgeting
Green wall systems in India broadly range from around ₹450 to ₹900 per square foot depending on whether it is indoor, outdoor or artificial, the growing system used, and the irrigation specification.
Two things drive your number more than anything else: whether the wall is indoors (needing grow lighting in many positions) or outdoors, and how good the water and drainage access is at that location. We price after seeing both.
Maintenance is quoted separately as a monthly or quarterly visit, and we strongly recommend taking it. A green wall depends on irrigation that nobody in your facilities team will notice has failed until the plants show it.
Low water access? Consider a preserved moss wall instead — no irrigation, no light, no maintenance crew.
Questions
Not when it is built correctly. The system sits on a frame with an air gap and a waterproof membrane, so the wet layer never touches your masonry. Damage happens on installations that mount panels straight onto plaster.
Vertical gardens are low maintenance, not no maintenance. Expect a monthly visit for trimming, feeding and irrigation checks, plus seasonal replanting of gaps. Compared with a lawn of the same visual impact, it is far less work.
Yes, with supplementary grow lighting on a timer. If you would rather not run lights and plumbing, a preserved moss wall gives you the green without either.
We plant at a density that reads as complete on handover, and it thickens over the first two to three months. You should not have to wait a year to see what you bought.
Less than people expect. Drip irrigation delivers measured volumes at the root, and where the site allows we install a collection tank and pump so the same water circulates.
